Frequently Asked Questions
What type of training do you offer?
i offer a combination of training types; these are geared toward weight loss, general health improvement, muscle building, mobility and flexibility improvements, and improvement in a specific major lift or body part. persons looking for programs that aid in sport specific improvement, or for very specific diets (such as bodybuilding competition prep.) would have more success dealing with coaches that specialize in these areas.
How is your training offered?
my programs are mainly delivered online, through my singularity fitness training app. from time to time though, i enjoy training with my clients and i’ll invite some along for some great workouts! if the interest and availability is high enough, i’ll also do some group training sessions to keep building our community.
depending on your program of choice, we may also require some facetime. for example, my “train pain free” program will require a systematic assessment of all your pai n points so that i can create a mobility plan that’s tailored for you.
I’d really like to understand your entire training model end to end. What happens when I book a consultation? Walk me through the entire process.
Sure! during the consultation, i’ll get a better idea of where you’re at in terms of general health, training experience, and overall goals. we’ll get to know each other a bit better, and i’ll give you a high level idea of what my recommended training program would look like.
if you’re in agreement and you think we’d be a good fit, then you can purchase your preferred program on the website store. depending on the type of program you purchase, i’ll need some more detailed information from you, especially if it’s a diet plan. you can provide all the additional information through my client intake form, or we can even meet up depending on your preference.
at that point, i’ll officially onboard you into my singularity fitness app and we’ll get started! your app experience will come loaded with your training program, as well as your diet. there are also some cool features to help you keep your positive habits on track! in terms of check-ins, we’ll have a weekly check-in to see if anything needs tweaking. i’ll also answer any other questions outside of the check-in via dm’s.
I’ve tried losing weight before, but it just doesn’t seem to stay off. What makes your coaching different?
maintaining your goal physique is a lot harder than attaining it, i can attest to that. i’ve been through periods where the training sessions that i’d eaten for breakfast in the past suddenly felt like mount Everest. it’s a natural thing, and it happens to all of us. work, family, mental health struggles; they can all contribute to a reduction in training and diet quality. i’m very much aware of this, and as part of your coaching, we’ll learn your habit triggers and enablers, and how we can get over these. in my opinion, body transformation is far more psychological than it is physical.
I don’t have a PayPal account, can I still access your programs?
no paypal, no problem. you can still purchase my programs through an online bank transfer, just follow the simple steps in the store and you’re good to go.
Honestly, I don’t really want to put on a ton of muscle or anything like that. Would your program still work for me?
Of course! we all have very different goals, and your program will be tailored accordingly. if you’re still unsure, then booking a consultation with me (it’s free) is a great place to start.
Would your programs cater for someone coming off of a long period of inactivity?
They certainly can! for my 12-week programs though, i generally prefer to hit the ground running. if you feel like you need a little time to get up to speed, I’d recommend to check out my 30-day “training primer’ routine. of course, i’m also happy to give you some general advice on building up momentum before starting the 12-week program.
I don’t have access to a commercial gym, will I be able to get the same results? Do I need specific equipment?
you certainly can get fantastic results just training at home. i can count the amount of times that i’ve ever been in a commercial gym. granted, i purchased quite a lot of equipment over the years, but you can go really fair with the most basic equipment. you can also make a ton of progress with just bodyweight movements and some inexpensive bands (check out my bodyweight basics programs). remember, even the most basic program (if performed consistently) will absolutely yield results!
